Leave Apple Alone!!!

ibookstore

Apple has received yet another lawsuit including the iPad. According to three iPad users the iPad will shut itself off after remaining in direct sunlight for a long period of time, it fails to meet the promises Apple made about using the iPad as an e-book reader. The group has filed a federal class-action lawsuit in the Northern California district to "redress and end this pattern of unlawful conduct."

When the iPad's operating temperature reaches a certain level, it will force itself to shut down and display a message warning the user to let the device cool down before trying use it again. This warning is the same that iPhones and iPod touches give before shutting down when they overheat.

The lawsuit mentions that the iPad "does not live up to reasonable consumer's expectations created by Apple insofar as the iPad overheats so quickly under common weather conditions." Apple lists the iPad's operating temperature as 32° to 95° F (0° to 35° C), so it's not hard to see that using it out in the hot sun can quickly heat up the device over the maximum temperature

This kind of annoys me. First the iPhone Antenna and now this. The iPhone antenna problem was not a big deal but the media, blogs, websites and certain users made it like the world was going to blow up! This lawsuit is the same and maybe even worse. These people are suing apple because the iPad does something that apple direcly warns them about and also happens with many other devices. But apple is just kind enough to point out that it is overheating and do what’s best to keep your product in good condition.

Apple Refreshed iMac & MacPro Along with New Releases

As said I said in my last minute update last night, Apple refreshed their Mac lineup today. The First iMac was released over a decade ago and look how far the have come since then.

A display that turns your desk into a destination. More power than ever before. The world’s first Multi-Touch mouse. The new iMac truly is as good as it looks.

LED-Backlit Displays
Watch HD movies and TV shows on an LED-backlit 21.5-inch or 27-inch 16:9 display.

Fastest iMac Ever
Get higher performance with faster processors, advanced graphics, more storage options, and more.

Multi-Touch Two Ways
Click, swipe, scroll, and perform other gestures to control your iMac using Magic Mouse or the new Magic Trackpad.

iSight Camera
A tiny built-in iSight camera lets you video chat, take snapshots, and shoot video.
Ports for Everything
Plug into USB, FireWire, and more. Or pop in an SD card to import photos fast.

LED backlighting. One bright idea.
Full brightness with no waiting is what’s the big advantage of the LED-backlit iMac display. Unlike most displays that take time to warm up before they reach maximum brightness, an LED-backlit display is instantly on and uniformly bright. LED backlighting also gives you greater control over screen brightness. So you can finely tune the iMac display to suit the ambient light in even the dimmest room.

More pixels. Better picture.
iMac offers some prime pixel real estate. The 21.5-inch, 1920-by-1080 display has 17 percent more pixels than the previous 20-inch iMac. The 27-inch, 2560-by-1440 display has a whopping 78 percent more pixels than the 21.5-inch iMac. And a 1000:1 contrast ratio gives you more vibrant colors and blacker blacks. All that in a widescreen display with a 16:9 aspect ratio — the same as an HD TV.

Stunning from every angle.
The iMac display looks great from any seat in the house, thanks to a premium display technology called in-plane switching (IPS). IPS gives you a bright picture with excellent color — even if you’re viewing the display from the side.

New Intel Core processors

All iMac models now include processors from the blazing-fast Intel Core series, featuring an advanced processor architecture that helps set new performance benchmarks for iMac. The 21.5-inch models and one 27-inch model come standard with a dual-core Intel Core i3 processor starting at 3.06GHz. For even more performance, choose the top-of-the-line 27-inch iMac with a quad-core Intel Core i5 at 2.8GHz or optional Intel Core i7 at 2.93GHz. Four cores make just about everything you do faster: managing your photos, editing HD video, even playing graphics-intensive 3D games. And since Mac OS X Snow Leopard is designed to take full advantage of Intel dual- and quad-core architectures, you get the fastest performance possible.

Revved-up graphics.
Every iMac comes with high-performance discrete graphics processors from AMD that make games run smoother, photos load faster, and pro applications work better. Learn more about iMac performance

Plenty of memory and storage.
The new iMac has 4GB of DDR3 memory standard — now running even faster at 1333MHz — with room in its four SO-DIMM slots for up to 16GB, so you can use more applications simultaneously. And with a Serial ATA hard drive up to 2TB,1 feel free to load up on photos, videos, and music.

Add an ultrafast solid-state drive.
To give your iMac a real performance boost, configure your 27-inch iMac on the Apple Online Store with an optional 256GB solid-state drive. You can choose it as your only drive or have it installed in addition to the built-in hard drive, allowing you to store the operating system, critical applications, and important files on the solid-state drive and your other files on the hard drive. Because solid-state drives have no moving parts, the computer can access data at over twice the speed of hard drives. Which makes starting up your iMac and launching applications faster than you ever thought possible.

Built-in Wi-Fi.
High-speed 802.11n wireless technology is built into iMac. And with Time Capsule or the AirPort Express Base Station, every computer in every room can wirelessly connect to iMac, the Internet, and each other.2 Over this network, everyone can print, surf the web, and play music on iTunes through your home stereo — wirelessly.

Apple is also including there new product Magic Mouse with the iMac. The mouse is a complete touch pad and uses the following features:

Click or double-click anywhere. The whole surface is a button.

Two-Button Click

Set up two-button click (right-click) in System Preferences.

360ยบ Scroll

Scroll with one finger to move vertically and horizontally.

Screen Zoom

Hold down the Control key and scroll with one finger to magnify the screen.

Two-Finger Swipe

Swipe left and right with two fingers to go forward and back in Safari or iPhoto.

Apple is also including there new product Magic Trackpad. It is a large separate laptop trackpad that is the size of the average labtops keyboard.

iSight camera.

Look closely: Hidden behind the glass display at the top of iMac is an iSight camera. Use it with iChat, and you can be anywhere without actually being there. Video chat with up to three of your friends, share a video with a colleague, or present to a client.3 Use iSight with Photo Booth for fun photo effects. And there’s no need to waste valuable primping time installing software or configuring the camera. Like everything Mac, iSight just works.

Ports for everything.

And then some.

Audio out Audio in USB 2.0 FireWire 800 Mini DisplayPort Gigabit Ethernet Mini DisplayPort.

The Mini DisplayPort lets you connect an external display, including the Apple LED Cinema Display, to your iMac. On the 27-inch iMac, the same port offers input, too. So you can connect any external source that has DisplayPort output — including a MacBook or MacBook Pro — and use your iMac as a display.

Wall mountable.

It’s easy to give your iMac a place of honor on the wall. The 27-inch iMac is compatible with the VESA Mount Adapter Kit for use with wall mounts.

USB and FireWire.

Bring on your iPod, digital camera, mobile phone, and external hard drive. If it has a cable, iMac has a port for it. Four USB 2.0 ports and a FireWire 800 port give you plenty of peripheral possibilities.

On every Mac.

A Mac is built on Mac OS X Snow Leopard: the world’s most advanced operating system. And every Mac comes with software that lets you do more with photos, movies, and music.

Apple also released a battery charger for the AA batteries that the trackpad and mouse use. The products run on AA batteries and recharging batteries is the environmentally friendly and wallet friendly way of using batteries. Apples battery charger works in half the time of Energizer. Apple has done it again, they have kept the depleting life of the Mac line up alive and well while also revolutionizing the PC business.

Apple To Refresh Mac Lineup Tomorrow?

Many sources have confirmed that tomorrow apple will refresh many of there Mac book devices. This includes the iMac and iMac Pro. They are also rumored to release a 27 inch cinema display screen. New Mac Pros might have Intel’s 6 core 5600 processors in a single and also dual CPU configuration for up to twelve CPU cores on the new Mac Pro. That CPU upgrade might result in a %50 performance jump over the Mac Pro lineup as it is now.
New iMacs are said to include an HDMI port, an 3.0 USB port, a faster FireWire, updated GPUs are possible. The entire lineup should be using Intel’s Core i3, i5, and i7.
Adding a 27-inch display seems extremely possible considering popularity of Apple’s 27-inch iMac. Apple is only offering now the $1,800 30-inch Cinema Display last updated almost 2 years ago. The 20-inch Cinema Display was discontinued in February 2009 and the new $900 24-inch Cinema Display was released in October 2008 with DisplayPort interconnect, and the iMac-like design.
This information is again not legit. DO NOT count on this info. Leaks are either true or false so that means this is a 50 50 chance of this acually happening, but we all hope it does.

iPod Touch 4 (4th Generation) New Leak

I do hate how Apple surrounds there upcoming devices with such mystery and suspense. Its genius but annoying! As the upcoming iPod season lerks closer, the so called "leaks" for the devices are growing. But i do sometimes think that these leaks may be planned as a marketing campaign, 9 of 10 leaks are fake, the most recent leak has been confirmed by Apple Insider to be %100 real (As I say alot, do not fully trust it just because it has been confirmed. The most common iTouch leak last year was also confirmed and never happend).

The leak is yet another peice of evidence that what was said at the UK's "Christmas in July" is true. It includes pictures and video of a prototype iPod Touch being used and handled. It has a front and back camera. The presence of the front camera is sure fire that the iTouch will have apple's new video calling program FaceTime. As the iPod Touch gets more and more similar to the iPhone 4 I am curious if the iTouch will be renamed this year the iPod 4 or the iPod Touch 4.

The addition of a camerais most definate, and one that would make the past iPhone cameras dribble. It would probly be used for both taking photos and video recording; something past iPod touches have not had but have really needed.I am alos expecting six other features; video chat with non-Apple users, Retina display, 3G option with iPad-style data plan, longer battery life, built-in microphone, and faster Wi-Fi. Although, a built in microphone may be to good to be true. Apple may stick with the catch of buying the special volume and music control with the inclusion of a microphone.

iPhone 4 Problems

By now even if you aren't a nerd like me you've probably heard about the iPhone 4 trouble on the news or paper or something. I just wanna say, the other nerd sites are blowing this WAY out of proportion. 9 out of 10 smart phones have this exact same problem. Now apple is paying for this problem and giving out free bumper cases even though about 76 other smart phone companies don't do anything about these problems. Those companies don't get attacked by consumers and critics!
The exact problem of the iPhone was that it would lose signal if your hand blocking a specific spot on the device. The location of this spot was in the lower right corner, there is a black mark on the steel, that's the soft spot. They are naming this problem 'antennagate'.

Jobs held a press meeting on July 16Th discussing the issue. Although he promised no hardware fix, he did promised to give every buyer of the iPhone 4 a new rubber case called the apple bumper. It has been proven to help the antenna issue. The free offer is available through Sept. 30, and people who bought the $29 case will be getting a full refund. The deal is going on the website late next week. If apple loses stock, consumers will be allowed to get any case on the website. (Preferably in the 30 dollar price range)
"We're not perfect, phones aren't perfect either. But we want to make all of our users happy."                                                        -Steve Jobs Apple Spokesperson/CEO
Apple opened the conference by attacking the media's overreaction to the antenna issue, playing a video of Jonathan Mann's "The iPhone 4 Antenna Song," which includes the lyrics: "If you don't want an iPhone 4 don't buy it. If you bought one and you don't like it, bring it back ... but you know you won't." Jobs was not happy about the issue the media made of this problem. You could just tell by he look on his face. iPod Chimera? Real or Fake?

Wow. I had to make this thing HUGE. Its absolutely sick! But I almost guarantee that this is completely fake but just in case...these are the features I found online:

The iPod Chimera for 2010 comes standard with 500gig or 1TB of memory. It's made of Titanium and scratch/smear resistant touch screen display. It runs on OS-mmX, Bluetooth V4. Wi-Fi/WiMax, Hi-Def screen resolution of 1280x720, works vertically or horizontally. Wireless stereo earphones supplied by Shure. USB4 connectors with auto-locking mechanism. Options: 4GSM iPhone, Two-way iSight, GPS for navigation, weather, emergency beacon, Sirius Radio/Video, GamePod, HD receiver for off-air HDTV or radio.

Pretty Sick huh? What a dream for this to come out but i highly doubt its real. Cool though :)

iPod Classic Gets Droped?

I have no ''real'' evidence for this prediction but anyone that really follows Apple should know that the ipod classic is not very amazing anymore to Apple consumers. In 2005 the iPod Classic was just called the iPod, there were no other ipod models to get confused with or compete with. Now, with the ipod touch and the iPhone taking the world by storm the ipod classic is left WAY behind with no upgrades better than memory and battery life but resulting in same, almost lower sales. So there isn't much doubt in my mind that apple will drop it all the way. It definitely will be painful news to many people as the iPod Classic being the device that saved apple from near death in 2000. But the world changes in 9 years and change comes in good, and bad ways.

Great Picture of expected iPod Touch 4G

I love this design. I hope when the new iPod Touch comes out in September it looks exactly like this!

Touch Rumored to follow in the Footsteps of Big Brother? iPhone 4

Last weekend, famous UK retailer John Lewis's "Christmas in July" retail show, the spokesperson Rob Hennessy spilled something that apple probably would not have wanted known by public. He pretty much enforced my theory of the touch following the iPhone 4.

Several UK tech blogs reported Hennessy saying that the ipod touch will be aimed towards kids and teens and will mimic the iPhone 4's features by including two 5 mega-pixel cameras, a flash, HD video recording, and a gyroscope. Hennessy also stated that the new device would include FaceTime, apples new video calling feature, used over Wi-Fi

I am not counting on this for sure though. I am almost positive that this will happen but I'm not going to be let down by apple again so I am keeping that bit of doubt in my head.

What Happened to the Touch Last Year?

After apple released a camera-less iPod Touch at the Apple Music Event 2009 many of us have been wondering what happened? Were there problems inserting the camera so apple decided to put it in the iPod Nano as a last minute change? Many think that's what happened. But I do not.
Apple, like all manufacturing companies, has manufacturing errors. But the circuit boards for the touch and the nano have completely different up links to new features. The touches up link is larger than the nanos. But the plug to insert the camera is made for that small up link port which means it either would not be apples error but the company that supplies the cameras error or the cameras were specifically ordered for the Nano.
I think that apple is definitely eventually going to put a camera in there beloved iPod Touch but the camera that is in the nano is a huge waste for the touch. The camera has horrible resolution and only takes video. Apple would not have wasted these on the touch but the nano on the other hand needed a push in order to not be over ridden by the touch.
I think that I have understood apple strategy for the new touches.
After apple shocked the world with a camera-less touch people eventually forgot about it but to seal the deal that apple was not gonna be hurt by this decrease in sales they released the iPhone 4. The iPhone 4 then put them right back on top of the phone industry with the worlds thinnest smart phone also strongest screen, longest battery and clearest picture.Apple started new things with this new phone, multitasking, app folders, Face Time, many new great things. If apple got positive feedback on these features they would flow them into the touch that would come out on the normal September date.
